As reported yesterday, three foreign oilworkers were kidnapped yesterday in Port Harcourt, two of them from the Italian oil gian ENI SPA. While MEND, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, has kidnapped oil workers in the past, they have not claimed responsibility for this abduction.
Today, those oil workers were released, unharmed. Authorities have not said whether a ransom was paid.
